The Inn
		The Mermaid Inn is situated high on a ridge overlooking the White Peak to the East and as far as the Cheshire Plain and Wales to the West and because of its position has had to be built to withstand many a Winter gale which it must have encountered during its 400 year history. It is also known as Blakemere House a title which goes back to the 16th and 17th centuries when there was a small village here. Maps of the period show a chapel and many other dwellings in the area.
								Bar meals can be obtained either from the house menu or the specials board, providing traditional fare for which the Inn is renouned or dishes for the more adventurous palate. As with the restaurant, all meals are freshly prepared from local produce and created to the same high standard by our experienced team in the kitchen.
